This Privacy Policy explains how Manicod (“we”, “us”) handles information
in the mobile game PourZ on iOS and Android (package
com.manicod.pourz). PourZ is a water-sort puzzle. You do not create an
account to play.
We do not run our own analytics, crash reporting, or account system. Progress stays on your device. Advertising is served by Google AdMob, which may collect data as described below.
1. Information stored on your device
PourZ keeps a small local profile so the game can resume where you left off. This is stored with the operating system’s app preferences and is not uploaded to our servers. We do not operate a backend for PourZ.
That local profile can include:
- Level progress, stars, coins, and daily-challenge completions
- Owned and equipped bottle skins
- Settings such as sound, music, vibration, and colourblind labels
- Whether ads have been removed (reserved for a future purchase)
Uninstalling the app deletes this local data. We cannot recover it.
2. Information we do not collect
PourZ does not ask for, and we do not collect:
- Name, email address, phone number, or other contact details
- Account credentials or social logins
- Precise location, photos, contacts, or microphone audio
- Payment card details (there is no in-app purchase surface today)
3. Advertising (Google AdMob)
PourZ shows ads so the game can be free: a banner during play, an occasional interstitial after you finish a numbered level, and an optional rewarded video if you choose an extra bottle. Ads are provided by Google AdMob (the Google Mobile Ads SDK).
Google and its advertising partners may collect and process information such as:
- Advertising identifiers (GAID on Android, IDFA on iOS if you allow tracking)
- IP address, device type, operating system, language, and app version
- Approximate location derived from IP address
- Ad views, clicks, and whether a rewarded video was completed
- Diagnostic data needed to serve and measure ads
That processing is governed by Google, not by us. Please read:
- Google Privacy Policy
- How Google uses information from ads
- How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services
4. Consent and personalised ads
In regions that require it (including the EEA, UK, and Switzerland), PourZ uses Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to ask for your consent before requesting ads. You can choose personalised ads, non-personalised ads, or to refuse ads where that option is offered. If consent is not granted in a way that allows ad requests, PourZ still plays; ads simply may not appear.
On iOS, Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt may also appear. The identifier for advertisers (IDFA) is used only if you allow tracking, to deliver personalised ads. You can change this later in iOS Settings.
5. How information is used
- To run the game — save progress and honour your settings
- To show ads — fund the free game through Google AdMob
- To respect your choices — consent, tracking, and an ads-removed flag
We do not sell your personal information.
6. Sharing
We do not share local game progress with anyone. Advertising data is collected by Google and may be shared with Google’s advertising partners as described in Google’s policies. We do not sell, rent, or trade mailing lists, because we do not hold them.
7. Retention and security
Local profile data remains on your device until you clear the app’s storage or uninstall it. We do not hold a copy. Advertising data is retained by Google according to its own retention periods. PourZ uses the platform’s standard storage; no method of electronic storage is perfectly secure.
8. Children
PourZ is a casual puzzle game and is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent age of digital consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the ads in the app, contact us and we will work with Google as needed to address it. Parents and guardians can also use device-level ad and tracking controls.
9. Your choices and rights
- Play without an account — nothing to register or delete on our side
- Consent form — in supported regions, reset ads / consent in device settings or by reinstalling, then complete the form again
- Android advertising ID — Settings → Google → Ads (wording varies by device)
- iOS tracking — Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking
- Local data — clear app storage or uninstall PourZ
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal data, or to object to certain processing. For data held only on your device, you can delete it yourself. For data processed by Google AdMob, use Google’s tools and policies, or contact us and we will point you to the right place.
10. International processing
We do not operate game servers. Google may process advertising data in the United States and other countries. Google is responsible for the safeguards that apply to those transfers under its privacy policy.
11. Changes
We may update this policy if PourZ changes — for example if we add analytics, sign-in, or in-app purchases. The effective date at the top will change. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
12. Contact
PourZ is published by Manicod. For questions about this policy, use the support email on the PourZ listing in Google Play or the App Store.
